Hat Hire Policy

We offer a hat rental/ hat hire service to all customers living on the island of Ireland. This includes Northern and Southern Ireland. We cannot offer a hat hire service to customers overseas.


To rent a hat simply view our selection of hats and headpieces which are available to rent in our Hat and Headpieces to Hire category. Then email info@hatshop.ie providing us with the product code of the hat you would like, along with the date you want to wear the hat. We can check the availability of the hat. If the hat you require is available we can place your booking and take payment over the phone.


We will have the hat sent by courier to your delivery address, one or two days before your wedding. You can then send the hat back to us, in the same box, the next working day after your wedding. For example, if your wedding is on a Saturday we will have the hat delivered to your shipping address by Thursday or Friday before the wedding. Then you can send it back to us on Monday to arrive in the shop on Tuesday or Wednesday of the week after your wedding.


Provided the hat is returned on time and in the same condition you received it, the insurance deposit will be refunded.  As we are aware that most ladies wear makeup when wearing a hat, if there is a little makeup on the inside of the hat the insurance deposit will still be refunded.


We do not store any card numbers given to us by customers. When processing a returned hat which is eligible to have the insurance deposit returned, we will phone you to refund your card with the amount of the insurance deposit.


If a hat is returned late, stained or damaged beyond repair the insurance deposit will not be refunded.


We will give credit for any hat hire canceled, if canceled seven days before the day the hat was due to be sent out on hire.
